Since 1991, Foundation and Crawl Space Repair of Alaska has been improving homes and commercial properties in the Greater Anchorage region of Alaska, stabilizing foundations and creating drier, healthier crawl spaces. Company History & Founder
Founder: Steve Burak
At an early age, Foundation and Crawl Space Repair of Alaska's founder, Steve Burak, started working in construction with his father, Walt Burak. Steve would enthusiastically tear off old roof coverings and pound nails to help his father remodel home exteriors. From his father, Steve learned the importance of "doing a job right, doing a job once!"
Steve and his wife Nadine's journey in home improvement over more than two decades has included owning and running a local ABC Seamless business before opening Foundation and Crawl Space Repair of Alaska. From day one, their mission has been to do the job right the first time, satisfying their customers and wowing them!
Steve surrendered his earthly body to rest in peace on June 16, 2023, after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer. Steve will forever be missed and honored at Foundation and Crawl Space Repair of Alaska, and his legacy continues with the new owner, Larry Janesky.
Foundation and Crawl Space Repair of Alaska shares common leadership with sister company Foundation and Crawl Space Repair of Idaho. Local management, sales, and production teams in Alaska provide custom repair solutions and quality service from start to finish.
About Our Owner
Owner: Larry Janesky
Larry Janesky has spent his career in basement waterproofing, foundation repair, and related home service businesses. Starting in 1987, he has become a well-respected authority on moisture control, humidity, crawl space encapsulation (a term he coined), and home energy conservation. He is the owner of over 25 patented solutions. As founder of Basement Systems, Inc. and co-founder of Dr. Energy Saver, Inc., Total Basement Finishing Systems, Inc., and Supportworks, Inc., he has helped train and build networks of contractors across the United States and Canada. Larry provides guidance and directs the overall strategy for companies he owns or co-owns, training local leaders to oversee day-to-day operations and trusting teams to execute and deliver superior service to their customers. He is very proud of what Foundation and Crawl Space Repair of Alaska can do for homeowners who have problems with their basements, crawl spaces, and foundations. Larry is an Eagle Scout, father of three, and desert motorcycle racer.
